New General Manager

It is with GREAT pleasure that I introduce Paul Barker as the new General Manager of Sourcing Bali.   Paul's role will be to handle all day to day operations of the company, including communication and reporting within departments, restucturing of work responsibilities and resources and improving back of house and adminstrative practices.  

Paul is no stranger to Sourcing Bali.  He's been a long term customer and friend and is well known to all the crew.  With a solid background in Banking, Finance and Administration, his organisational skills will be very welcomed as we move to improve customer services and increase efficiency of the company.

This new introduction to the team frees me (Desmond) to focus on sales and marketing and working on major projects and to work more closely with the sales teams to improve service, increase sales and expand our services to new markets.  

There has already been lots of changes with the office setup, with new teams set up to focus on sales and revenues.  There's a wonderful new energy and it's already showing great results.

New products online

Our online range of products changes frequently.  New designs, new suppliers and new finishes are loaded to our site every month.  All newly added products are featured for 30 days in our 'new products' section before being transferred to the main listing.  We encourage you to visit our site often to see what's new.

Bali has an abundance of suppliers and designs, and the range of products that are available is extensive.  One of our key roles is to source the very best, the most unique and the highest quality within competitive price points.  We strive to find and feature a diverse choice of products on our site, but if you dont find what you are looking for, please email us with the details, and we'll be happy to assist.

new supplier - Laser cut Metal panels

Laser cut metal panels are a wonderful and affordable way to add style and creativity to a room.  This technology is now available in Bali.

Available in a range of colours and finisihes, these metal panels can be made to almost any design and to suit a wide range of applications.  (room dividers, wall cladding, glass and mirror framing)
 

Small minimum qty's are available and custom orders are of course possible.  Panels are prices per sqm and depend on the thickness and materials used.

Elysian Hotel

The Elysian Resort and Spa, located in the heart of Seminyak has appointed Sourcing Bali to design and install the refurbishment for it's spa, 26 guest villas, bar, poolside and restaurant. 

We are deligthed to have been selected for this bespoke / boutique project and the first phase is already completed.  Part of the new spa is already in operation, and the mock up room for their guest villas is done.  The installation of the rest of the rooms will commence in February. 

The new decor maintains a rich blend of natural timbers including recycled teak headboards, rich fabrics and a sexy, spacious new bathroom.  

The next phase of the project is already underway with the design and installation of the bar and lobby - we look forward to bringing you updates through out the year.  The Elysian is the ideal size and scope of a project for Sourcing Bali / Bespoke Designs.  Working closely with the owners and management, Sourcing Bali has created a stylish, cohesive design throughout the entire resort.  With competition in Bali on the increase, it's more important than ever that Hotels and Resorts stay fresh and upgrade facilities.

Welcome to Dwi, and Welcome back Pipin

We are very pleased to welcome the newest addition to our team - Please meet Dwi.  Dwi joins us as a newly created position as Sales Support - working as assistant to Wayan and Kres.  With the introduction of our new General Manager and the creation of new teams, it means that we now have dedicated crews working together to further improve our customer service.   Dwi was formally with a local radio station as an announcer, and prior to that with a dance company.  We wish Dwi a long and successful career with Sourcing Bali.

And some more good news... we are very pleased to welcome Pipin back to the family.  Pipin took a year off to spend time as a 'stay at home mum' for her young children.  The children are now both in school and Pipin has returned to the workforce.  We are very happy to have her back.  She will be working in a newly created division, focusing on projects for hotels, resorts and villa complexes for design and installations.  Please join me in welcoming her back to Sourcing Bali.  pipin@sourcing-bali.com

I swear....

I am very pleased and proud to announce that on Wednesday, 23rd of January, 2013 I took the OATH of allegiance to Indonesia and became an Indonesian Citizen. 

Having lived in this wonderful country since 1995 (except for 2 yrs in Singapore in 96-98) - a country which has provided me with enourmous opportunities, allowed me to experience a wonderful diversity of people, cultures and traditions - I decided to fully commit myself to the country that has given me so much.  It was not an easy decision to make, given that I need to forfeit my Australian Citizenship, however I am committed 100% to Indonesia and end my days as an ex-patriate.

No doubt it will make travelling abroad a little more challenging, but no more or less than my fellow country men.  The benefits far out way the inconveniences. 

This change allows me to work with charities, expanding my role with HIV education and support in Bali, expand my businesses, and have the freedom of speech otherwise not permitted to an ex-pat.
