New Products - recently uploaded

We have been busy researching our supplier base for some new and exciting items to add to our site.  It is important that our website reflects a broad range of styles, and is indicative of the types of products that Sourcing Bali is often requested to source for our clients.   Whilst large, the website still represents only a very small portion of the products that we source or that are available in Bali.  For this reason, we prefer not to load 'ordinary' products here, and we try to keep the range as fresh as possible.

If you dont find what you are looking for - please send us an email and we will do our best to source it for you.

We receive a lot of requests for paving stones and pool surrounds, as well as pool tiles and coping.  We've been selling these for many years, but have just upgraded the quality of the images to help customers to select from the very broad range of stones that are available.  Stone pool surrounds are easily servicable, that can add real value and style to a home pool.  For details on any of our stone materials - please email robert@sourcing-bali.com

New Customs broker - Australia

We are proud to announce the appointment of BR International as our preferred customs broker for Australia.  BR Interntianal has offices in most major capital cities and will soon be expanding.   BR International's head office is located in Sydney, and the main point of contact is mike@brint.com.au

BR International are responsible for the smooth and efficient handling of customs clearances for all shipments from Sourcing Bali and Rim Cargo.  Our experience so far shows that they they share our passion for customer service and attention to details and we're confident that this will be a strong and fruitful relationship.

We look forward to working with Michael and his crew.

Bespoke - Designs by Sourcing Bali

I am very proud to announce the latest addition to the Sourcing Bali family... 'Bespoke'

'Bespoke' is long overdue, and is seen by many as a natural evolution for Sourcing Bali.  We have long been assisting designers, developers, private buyers, business owners with designs for their businesses, homes, resorts etc - however without formal training or technical support, our skills in presentation were lacking.. now however, everything has changed.

Bespoke Designs is the latest addition - we provide incredibly affordable, yet highly creative interior design and consulting services for commercial and private customers.  Our services include space planning, customised furniture designs, 2D and 3D drawings plus full colour renderings for itemised peices and floor layouts.

This service, combined by Sourcing Bali's enviable reputation for sourcing quality products, professional and courteous crew, and our passion for service - gives Bespoke an advantage over any other design company on the island.

Design fees start from US$250 per room with a minimum of 7 rooms for private installations and commercial projects starting from US$3500.

It's important to design what we know we can source, what we know we can make. It's very important to understand the application and function of the design, so that it meets the  needs of the project.  Our background in hospitality allows us to understand function and practicality, whilst respecting the need for style and freshness of design.

Our new website is under construction - however we look forward to bringing you news of the site soon.  In the meantime, please dont hesistate to contact us at chung@bespoke-bali.com for details of our design and consulting services.

Trade Exhibitions

Sourcing Bali / Hospitality Essentials have been busy planning and attending exhibitions arround the region.

Last week we attended the FHT Bali at the Bali International Convention Centre.  This three day exhibition was attended by 6000 visitors and included all major hotels, resorts and spas from Bali, and other regions of Indonesia and some International buyers.

Our next appearance will be at the FHA in Singapore from 20-23 April where Tali, Puteri, Anto and I will be exhibiting the latest designs from Hospitality Essentials.  This trade show is one of the region's largest, and is an important part of our overall marketing plan.

Next stop is Melbourne 24-26 May, where we'll be attending the first ever Hotel Hospitality & Design in Melbourne Convention & exhibition centre - this is where we will be launching BESPOKE - the latest in Sourcing Bali's divisions.

It's certainly an exciting time at Sourcing Bali.  Now, more than ever - our company offers complete service solutions for private and commercial buyers .

(All brands of Sourcing Bali are patented throughout Indonesia*)

We look forward to seeing you somewhere in the region.

Most asked for ?

In a recent interview, I was asked 'what is the thing that you are most asked?  I responded, 'To get customers out of trouble'

Sadly, and all too often, we are asked by many new customers to help them sort out problems with their current agents, or their current freight company.  Business ethics in Bali are often lacking, and true customer service is even harder to find.  Afflicted with the 'yes syndrome' many suppliers / cargo agents, say yes, in order to get an order, or to save face when confronted with a problem, but more often than not, dont follow up, or dont provide the service or product that they are promised.

We have many cases of companies simply closing their doors and running away, or instances of funds being used to pay for 'other things' and not for orders, resulting in months of frustration with emails and phone calls - often with no result.

It's vital to ensure that you use a reliable, reputable agent and freight company.

I was recently asked by a customer to match a competing cargo company quote that was US$500 less than ours.  The 'other' company, was a small, unknown, operator.  I asked the client to compare the two quotes carefully.  Check the quality of packing materials, check the standard of it's use, but also to check the salaries and working conditions of the staff, the benefits that they receive, the uniforms they wear, the qualtiy of the trucks they drive, the meals that are provided on duty, the professionalism of the crew, the response time to requests, and then compare the two quotes.

I am very proud that we have a great team - and I'm proud that we reward great performance.  We pay well above award wages, we provide an encouraging, supportive environment to work, we pay health benefits and insurance, our crew is the best presented crew on the island - bar none!.  Our cargo services are not the cheapest on the island, but they're not the most expensive either.. but we do promise, you get what you pay for with RIM CARGO.  !!

We thank you for your support :-)

Currency Exchange rates

The Indonesian rupaih is known to be unstable and you'll find most banks dont usually trade in the currency.

Sending funds to Indonesia is most commonly in US$, Euro or AUD$.

The current exchange rates are covering at  USD - Rp 9.000  , Euro 1 - Rp 12.200    , AUD - Rp 8.300 ,  For futher details of currency exchange, please email sheny@sourcing-bali.com

To our Australian friends... now more than ever you can be enjoying a strong Rupiah exchange rate, so if you were thinking of coming over to Bali to buy furniture and accessories for your new home - now's a perfect time.. !

NEW QC CREW - Meet Wayan

We are proud to welcome Wayan to the team - this is Wayan's first job, and he's being trained as a quality controller - going out into the field to inspect bulky items such as furniture, stone carvings, pavers, etc - all bulky items are thoroughly checked at source before bringing them to our warehouse for final QC.    Wayan has lots to learn, but he's keen and motivated and we're sure he'll become a very valuable asset to the team.
