Destination / East Med, Black Sea / Red Sea
Weight Limit without surcharge - up to 18 tonnes / 20'DC
Overweight Surcharge (OWS) to apply after this amount - US$500 /20'DC
Maximum Weight 23 tonnes / 20'DC

Any cargo reported incorrectly with be subject to penalty of US$1000 + OWS per 20ft container.

These regulations most affect buyers of large qty's of stone, pebbles, mosaics etc.

The Mother of all Tables !

News travelled fast last month - lots of suppliers had heard about the sale of the biggest table EVER from Sourcing Bali!

Made to a record 7 metres long x 2 meters wide x 10cm thick, this enourmous table was made from a single tree and had 2 side benches - each 6.7m long.

The weight was over 2.5 tonne and required 46 people to lift it due to it's enournous size and weight.  The table was carefully wrapped, then crated, and even had wheels attached for ease of handling at the other end - the destination RUSSIA !  What for? we have no idea !

Hospitality Essentials

Although only in it's 4th month of operations, the new Hospitality Essentials range of hotel accessories has received a great deal of positive response.

The new range now includes over 600 products and the site continues to grow with each project that we confirm.  Our customers enjoy the inhouse design service that we offer - allowing them to have their own tailor-made products - specific for their resort, hotel or villa.

We will be exhibiting the range in Jakarta at the Trade Expo - October 23-27 - where we hope to meet overseas buyers / hotels / contractors.

For more information about this exciting range - please email desmond@sb-he.com

Record Month for RIM

With the pending arrival of the Ramadan holidays, and the subsequent closure of the ports, it was necessary to move forward the stuffing schedules for many containers.  The crew at RIM did an outstanding job of loading 24 containers and 12 LCL shipments in a period of 18 days - WELL DONE GUYS !!

Now, as the ports close, the crew can take a well earned rest - getting ready for the next onslaught after the 17th, when the ports open up again.

The warehouse was nearly empty, but is now filling up again, as goods are being collected - ready for the next loadings.

New projects

We are about to commence work on the newly built wing of the Soloman Kitano Mendana Resort in the Solomon Islands.  The project includes 14 new deluxe rooms, 4 suites, an international restaurant (100 seats) and a Japanese restaurant 49 seats.  Sourcing Bali is supplying all furniture and furnishings for this exciting new project.

We are also in the final stages of La Plantation Resort and Spa in the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe - we're awaiting the re-opening of the ports so that we can send the last three containers.

Other new projects include 2 new resorts in the Maldives, and a luxury villa in Hawaii - styled on the newly completed Bulgari Resort in Bali.  (oops!)

We look forward to sharing news of these exciting new projects.

Customer feedback

With each and every customer that we have, we are proud of the relationships that develop and the friendships that form.  As in the case of one new client from US, we were delighted to meet and assist Adam, Lea and Mick - their first container was successfully loaded in September and we recieved the following email from them...

  -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning All,
Desmond/Sintiya/Nengah,

First off thankyou all, for allowing me up to the warehouse yesterday twice ! : )
I went up at the start, and once again for the finish of stuffing of the container last night, AND AM SO HAPPY I DID!!

What i witnessed was incredible!!!!!!!!
Desmond you have an AMAZING CREW of Workers!! really AMAZING!!

EXCELLENT AT THEIR JOB. It was plain to see last night they are very expert at what they do...

They did such a great job on stuffing the container so much so that there was hardly enough space for a rugby ball at the end!!! at 75% I look over to see Nengah was a little conerned but confident !!! 62 cbm fitted in perfect, the team rotated, turned, took stuff out, back in, like a rubex cube...... and 45 minutes later a container of goods fitted to perfection!!!

So please send on my best regards to ALL who worked on the container yesterday, AS THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB!!!!!!!! TRULY AMAZING!!!!

Here are a few photos from yesterday AND LAST NIGHT to give you an idea, Thankyou all for getting everything to run so smoothly...

I know I talk for Adam and Lea here when i say : its been an absolute pleasure working with you guys at Rim Cargo Sourcing Bali, you have helped us so much on this first container we are forever grateful................we hope to be back on soon for a second !!!!!
