We are proud to bring you the latest updates from Sourcing Bali and our supplier partners.

In this edition we present lots of news from PPE - Jakarta, the new opening of RIM CARGO's branch office, News of our new GLOBAL AGREEMENT, as well as updates on what's happening with the crews at Sourcing Bali and RIM Cargo.

PPE - Jakarta

Once again, the crew of Sourcing Bali travelled to Jakarta to attend Indonesia largest export exhibition.

The focus of the visit was to learn of the latest designs from suppliers all over the country, discovering new styles, new materials, newest manufacturers.

Most of these suppliers have large minimum order QTY's - however Sourcing Bali has been able to negotiate smaller qty's from many suppliers, and we can assist to consolidate other orders within the same containers for single customers - another reason for using our services.

There was a marked increase in the range, quality and quantity of plastic rattan makers this year. We have sourced 6-7 good manufactures - ideal for commericial installations, as well as wholesale orders.

We found some interesting new suppliers of high gloss, brightly coloured terracotta accessories / vases / bowls etc - very affordable, and easy to negotiate smaller order QTY's

We'll be adding these suppliers to our comprehensive database - and some items will be loaded to our website - new products.

This was also the first time that Sourcing Bali / RIM Cargo exhibited at the show - we received many new inquiries for our services and our free internet service was well received by buyers and suppliers alike.

Rim Cargo - new branch office

November 1st, 2006 saw the opening of our new branch office of RIM CARGO - located at Jl Laksmana (Oberoi) in the heart of the buying / shopping district of Seminyak.

Called THE BUSINESS CENTRE, this new office will receive new inquiries for freight, be a drop off point for customers who need their goods collected, AND offer business centre services such as broadband interent (free for freight customers) colour copying, cd burning, message board etc.

Packing materials are also on sale, as well as a collection and packing service for hotels / guests.

MTG Network - Global Alliance

Sourcing Bali / RIM CARGO are proud to announce the signing of an MOU with international brokerage network MTG - effective November 1st, 2006

This new global alliance expands RIM CARGO's network to over 86 countries , 380 cities worldwide, in most major cities - and helps to improve services to all customers of Sourcing Bali / RIM CARGO.

MTG is network of independant freight forwarders and customs brokers around the world, with it's head office based in Singapore.

New Corporate Brochure

Take a look at the new face of Sourcing Bali.

This newest edition of our corporate brochure and smaller DL version was designed by Island Communcations of Bali - special thanks to Louise and her crew.

5000 copies of these brochures have hit the streets of Bali - new advertising in local papers also bear the new look / branding. The new version of our brochure for Personal Shopping Services is already underway.

Customers can now pay their accounts at RIM CARGO and Sourcing Bali using AMEX.

Machine are located at all offices (including THE BUSINESS CENTRE)
(For remote transactions Amex requires photocopy of ID, copy of card, and written authorisation.)

New Suppliers

One of our important roles as sourcing and buying agents is to know the best, newest, most competitive suppliers on the island (and Java) ensuring that you, our customers are kept informed of the latest information available.

Our preferred suppliers understand that we promise no loyalty to their products and that they must maintain competitive pricing, update their designs, and stay ahead of the competition in order for Sourcing Bali to continue support and recommend their products.

As a policy, we source from ANYONE / ANYWHERE - provided we find that the product is appropriate for the customer, offers best value, best price and has a no historical problems or poor reputation with Sourcing Bali.

We will continue to update our website as and when new suppliers are found.

We work hard to stay ahead of the competition : setting new standards in sourcing and buying services.

There are frequent new listings of products and suppliers to our website. Visitors to the site are encouraged to view our NEW PRODUCTS section, to see the latest listings. The product range grows at an alarming 120 products per month - so customers are recommended to visit regularly.

Still however, we load only a small portion of the products that we source, since much of what we do is custom made - and these items do not make it to the site.

Holidays

If you are making plans for a visit to Bali - you'll need to know some important dates that are coming up.

Galungan / Kuningan - the Balinese celebration of good over evil. It is a time of great joy for the Balinese, and it is when all of our Hindu staff take time to spend with their families, and visit family temples.

Our offices will be closed on November 29th - many of our suppliers will also be closed from 26th until 4th December.

Christmas / New Year - our offices will be closed from 23rd December, re-opening on January 2nd, 2007. We'll have a skeleton crew working to check emails and respond to urgent requests.

Please do let us know as early as possible if you are planning to visit - so that we can plan accordingly.
